Introducing Aegis of Athena

Image Hosted by ImageShack.us

There've been some changes recently in my worldwide companions... some of us have started a new, small guild more suited to the way we like to adventure throughout Azeroth. Our new guild, Aegis of Athena, although quite young, already feels like home. And we have been forging out into new territory and revisiting old haunts in our efforts to restore peace to our world. Here are some of us taking over the Emperor's throne in Blackrock Depths last night... excellent efforts by all and I am happy to say that both the Emperor and the Princess were handily dethroned.

Meanwhile, faithful longtime companions returned to Azeroth after a brief interlude for nuptials. And last night we continued on our quest to obtain the all-important Drakefire Amulet which will allow us entrance to Onyxia's Lair. I so look forward to the opportunity to confront her in person and see what she has to say for herself. Perhaps a soothing cup of tea will cool the anger raging within her and if not, I will be happy to give her a taste of my newly-acquired Trindlehaven Staff.

Here we are escorting Marshall Windsor to confront Lady Prestor in Stormwind Castle... a rather violent confrontation followed immediately hereafter. I fervently wish for peace throughout our realm.

Molten Core Extravaganza and Taming the Wilds of Felwood

Image Hosted by ImageShack.us

We returned to Molten Core on both Saturday and Sunday and Lucrifron and Magmadar were obliterated and Gehennas perished as well, twice! I do believe we are having some success taming the evil that lurks within The Core. Thursday we will forge on to the Even Meaner Beasts.

In addition to my work in the fiery depths, I have been primarily occupied with restoring order and harvesting the wilds of Felwood. I have found the demons there to be fairly weak and they carry some wonderful runes which restore my mana quite nicely. And near them and in other areas are some corrupted flowers which, when healed, bear mana-refreshing fruit. Not to mention that herbs grow in abundance in the area. Sadly the beasts of Felwood seem to be mostly wretches- whiny, snarly wolves and growly, diseased bears roam everywhere. I relieve them of their misery as best I can, but there seems to be no limit to their population. A concerted and long-term effort in Felwood is certainly the only chance for its salvation.

Return to Magmadar

Image Hosted by ImageShack.us

Had a little trouble with Magmadar in Molten Core on Sunday... he seems to have had the upper hand, but not for much longer. I am happy to report that Lucifron, on the other hand, was easily relieved of his miserable existence.

Other than these forays into the very depths of the world, I have been focusing my attentions on the corruption that lurks within Dire Maul. For some reason I cannot keep myself from its walls... over and over and over again I have watched the ogres meet their doom, only to return a day or so later. How can we possibly overcome such persistent evil?

And finally, I have been traveling the world over in search of demonic runes and numerous rare herbs, especially the ubiquitous, yet elusive, dreamfoil.

Your Comments Appreciated

Due to some scurrilous fiends of the cyberspatial realm and their misuse of electronic communication venues, I have been forced to remove the ability to comment from this journal of my adventures. I know that you steady readers are with me in spirit and thank those of you who have wished me well in the past.

Journey to the Molten Core

Image Hosted by ImageShack.us

Intrepid adventurers undertook a dangerous and unprecedented mission last night... a foray into the fiery depths of Molten Core. I was blessed to be accompanied by all of my most steady companions, Rendon, Skolarae, Bangenor and Sanada as well as a several courageous fellow guild members. We banded together with fearless soldiers from all over the world and numerous guilds to make an attempt at taming the monsters of the depths.

It was terrifying and exhilarating! My healing powers were tested to their fullest and alas, at times I could heal no more. Numerous monsters died at the hands of our fearless group and sadly, we perished at a few points as well. But we forged on and on, further into the depths until finally we laid eyes on Lucifron.

Lucifron and his guards proved to be beyond our capabilities and we perished at his terrible touch... But what a night! I now know my mission is to send the monsters of the Core to their final resting places... I must persevere!

Picking Posies

I've made a big decision and have spent the last two days working to implement it. As much as I loved wielding a mining pick and tearing ore from the very earth, it is no longer the best profession for me. Since I am a devoted alchemist and have recently acquired the ability to create some powerful potions, I must start providing my own materials and not rely on Rendon's hard work and generosity. So, I have abandoned my level 300 mining skill (along with my ability to smelt dark iron ore *sigh*) and I have dedicated myself to learning the intricate skills of herbalism.

Fortunately Rendon is a fine mentor and has guided me to some areas where rare flora grows in abundant quantities. And Sanada, the brilliant enchanter has provided me with some extra-special herbing gloves. In a few hours of dedicated flower-picking I have achieved a skill level of 175. My goal is to be at 300 by the end of the week.

Tragedy in Upper Blackrock Spire

Ouch! Something dreadful happened and the forces of evil came for me! At the last possible second the spirit of redemption tried to save my companions, but alas we all perished at the hands of our tormentors. We exacted our revenge plus more a short while later.

All Grown Up!

Level 60! Yay!

I reached this level last night while shackling undead in the Eastern Plaguelands and releasing the poor trapped spirits of Darrowshire from their miserable existence. Those unfortunate souls were crying out for salvation... and I responded. Skolarae joined me to demolish the last few and then he portaled me back to Ironforge so I could complete my final training. I am fully prepared to take on the remainder of the Burning Legion!

Now the fun begins....
